LEFT-BACK Cameron Green has joined Wrexham on non-contract terms following a successful trial with the club.

The 21-year-old started his career with the Met Police before progressing through the Reading academy.

He moved to Watford Under-23s last season, and enjoyed a loan spell with Braintree Town before the National League South campaign was curtailed.

"The lads have made me feel welcome. I've been here a week now and already feel part of the team," said Green.

"I've been keeping fit, training with a few Championship clubs, but there is nothing like game time and I'm looking forward to playing my part.

"Of course I hope this leads to something longer-term in future. Everyone knows what's going on with the Football Club and being a part of that really excites me.

"I can't focus too much on the future, you need to do what you can in the present, but I know what I can do as a football player and hopefully I can bring it here - and there's no reason I can't earn a longer stay at the club."

Keates strengthened his squad for Wrexham's promotion push by signing attacking trio Gold Omotayo, Chris Sang and Keanu Marsh-Brown ahead of Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Stockport
