COACH Ryan Valentine insists Bala Town won't be taking managerless Cefn Druids lightly when the teams meet at The Rock tomorrow.

Druids have lost both games since the Cymru Premier season resumed and the Ancients parted company with first team head coach Bruno Lopes on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old, who was appointed in September, leaves the Rock with Druids sitting bottom of the table following Tuesday's 4-2 defeat against Newtown.

A club statement read: "Cefn Druids Football Club has decided to part company with First Team Head Coach Bruno Lopes with immediate effect.

"The Club would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Bruno, who is currently in Portugal with his family, and wish him well for the future.

"The club’s Head of Coaching, Jayson Starkey, will take temporary charge of team affairs, as the club prepares the search for the next permanent manager, with the post being advertised in due course.

"The Club will be making no further statement at this time."

Druids might have only won three times in 18 games this season but former Wrexham defender Valentine, who saw Bala return to action following the break by drawing 0-0 with title contenders The New Saints last Saturday, knows a Seasiders victory is anything but a foregone conclusion.

"There is no point in us going to TNS last week, getting a draw and keeping a clean sheet, and not going to Druids and putting on a performance," said Valentine, who was at the Rock to see Druids' latest defeat at the hands of Newtown in midweek.

"We know that if we are not on our game and we don't put on the same kind of performance that we did against TNS, then teams at the bottom can beat you.

"There are no easy games in the league and if we go there and don't turn-up, the players aren't focussed and tuned in, we will get turned over.

"It is up to us to make sure we are in the right frame of mind."

Bala are third in the table, 11 points behind leaders Connah's Quay Nomads with a game in hand.

The Lakesiders have five matches remaining before the competition splits and Valentine is looking forward to the Seasiders continuing their title challenge during the second phase.

"After Saturday we have got four games until the split," said Valentine.

"Once the split comes, it is like a mini-season going for the title because you have Connah's Quay home and away again, TNS home and away again.

"Every team can beat everyone and it will come down to who picks up the most wins in that 10-game season to see who can win the title."

Valentine added: "We have only lost once so far this season.

"I know we have had a few draws but we are third and it has been another good season.

"Every season when we start out, we always aim for the European places.

"The club recruited well in the summer, we brought players in who we expected to help us push on and challenge.

"You have got the likes of TNS and Connah's Quay who are always up there as well every season and it is still tight. It is all to play for."
