I WANT to start by saying how I have been thoroughly enjoying my time in Wrexham.

We have had some unseasonably warm weather to go with a positive result on Saturday which always puts a spring in your step for the week ahead.

I have been delighted with the welcome that we have received.

I have been stopped once or twice around town by people who have only had nice things to say which has been a really nice way to feel like I am becoming part of the furniture here in a good way.

In terms on club business, we have done social media training for all the players, playing staff and the rest of the staff around the club.

It was done as a way of giving people some training in the perils and pitfalls of social media these days which I am sure we are all very familiar with!

It was part of a programme of training that we intend to get into over the next few years to help everybody at the club achieve their potential with the club.

We are really pleased with the response to the stream for our games which has been a collective effort between our media team and some outside contractors who have come in to lend us some technical skills.

That has represented another great opportunity for more training within the club and we aim to continue the service in its current format through to the end of the season.

Last week we made the announcement about bonus sheets and the fact we aren’t going to be offering any contracts to senior players before the end of the season.

But we have been trying to ensure that we tie down some of the better young talent at the club so we are delighted to announce that Jake Bickerstaff and Max Cleworth have extended their contracts for another year, and young Ryan Austin has signed his first professional terms with the club that he supports.

Wales, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland have launched a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

We have not been approached about that but we would be hopeful that by that stage, The Racecourse would be transformed to an extent that we would do what we can to get games here.

And hopefully we will have a fantastic training facility that we can offer out to countries that are looking for a base.

Yesterday was the 59th anniversary of Wrexham’s biggest ever win - 10-1 against Hartlepool.

It would be a very welcome record to break and something that we would all like to see I am sure going forwards.

We will have to see how we get on!
