THE takeover has already created a buzz around Wrexham but Jordan Davies believed excitement levels will rise to another level when lockdown is lifted and fans are allowed back at The Racecourse.

No-one in the Reds' squad is better qualified than local lad Davies to speak about the feelgood factor in the town since Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were first identified as possible new owners last year.

The actors have now taken control of the club and midfielder Davies, who hails from Coedpoeth and will be aiming to continue the promotion push when seventh placed Wrexham face lowly Wealdstone at an empty Racecourse tomorrow, is looking forward to the journey with supporters in tow.

"It is a great time," said Davies, who started his career at his home-town club and returned to Wrexham in the summer after leaving Brighton and Hove Albion.

"I came back to the club and this happened. It has been amazing and this is just the start.

"We are all really excited and I can't wait to be on the journey with the club.

"After the Covid restrictions are lifted and we have all done our time from Covid, the town is going to have a real buzz about it and I can't wait to see and feel it."
