IT started off so well but ended with Wrexham suffering their heaviest league defeat of the season after losing 3-0 at Aldershot.

Dean Keates' side were on the front foot from the start and had chances to take the lead.

But the Shots took advantage of a goalkeeping error by Christian Dibble to go 1-0 up mid-way through the first half, and the Reds just went downhill after that.

Aldershot went 2-0 ahead at the start of the second half via a deflected shot and with Wrexham offering nothing at the other end, the home side grabbed a third goal.

Wrexham substitutes Dan Jarvis and Elliott Durrell both looked lively when they came on and came close to scoring but Wrexham were well beaten in the end.

Here's how the players rated:

CHRISTIAN DIBBLE: His mistake led to the first goal, made two vital saves before the break. 4
