IT'S hard to believe Wrexham only had a point to show for their efforts after throwing away a two-goal lead.

Dean Keates' side drew 2-2 against Dagenham and Redbridge at The Racecourse when they really should have won.

The Reds played some excellent football in the first half and created lots of chances, with Jamie Reckord scoring a superb volley to put the home side ahead.

It should have been more than 1-0 at the break but Wrexham got the vital second goal in the 58th minute through Reece Hall-Johnson.

Despite looking comfortable at that stage, Wrexham let the game slip away from them.

Dagenham levelled and as they piled the pressure on, the visitors grabbed an equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Here's how the players rated:

CHRISTIAN DIBBLE: Made one first half save of note, had little else to do but was beaten twice. 6

MARK CARRINGTON: You can always depend on Carrington to do a job wherever he is asked to play. 6

FIACRE KELLEHER: The only recognised centre-back was solid and could have scored at the other end. 6

JORDAN DAVIES: Deputised in the back three and found Dagenham more of a threat second half. 6

REECE HALL-JOHNSON: Goal and an assist to cap good attacking display, but both Daggers goals came down his side. 6

LUKE YOUNG: Worked hard but was unusually quiet. 6

JAY HARRIS: Could have scored twice in the first five minutes as Wrexham took the game to Dagenham. 6

JAMIE RECKORD: His corners caused Daggers lots of problems and he scored a brilliant goal. 7

DAN JARVIS: Lively performance as he got into good positions and set up the second goal. 7

DIOR ANGUS: Caused problems first half but could have played in Thomas instead of going for goal. 6

KWAME THOMAS: Held the ball up well and linked up play as the striker put in a good shift 6
