ADI YUSSUF has left Wrexham following the termination of his loan spell and returned to parent club Blackpool so he can complete a move to another team.

The 28-year-old striker joined the Reds on a season long loan ahead of the 2020-21 campaign and was leading scorer with six goals, the latest coming in Saturday's 2-0 victory over King's Lynn Town.

But after being offered a move to another club, manager Dean Keates allowed Yussuf to depart The Racecourse in the best interests of the frontman as it offers stability for him and his young family.

Keates, who brought in striker Dior Angus before the January transfer window closed on Monday night and also added defender Tyler French to the squad, said: "We're disappointed to see Adi leave but we felt we were unable to stand in the way of this opportunity.

"He came in, scored some big goals for us and we wish him the very best with the next chapter in his career.

"We've managed to bring in two high-quality players on deadline day and I'm pleased with the business we've conducted so far."
