KWAME THOMAS feels Wrexham made a statement with their big win against Sutton United and the striker wants a repeat performance at Bromley tomorrow.

Dean Keates' side thrashed the second placed U's 4-0 to register a third victory in a row - and fourth successive clean sheet - to take the Reds up to sixth in the National League.

Summer signing Thomas scored twice in the success to take his tally for the season to three goals and he wants Wrexham to pick up where they left off against The Ravens at Hayes Lane.

"Sutton started the day second in the league so we thought we could make a statement if we beat them," said Thomas.

"That is four clean sheets on the bounce now and three wins.

"Even though we were in a good position (leading 2-0) at half-time, it can easily go the other way and Adi Yussuf's goal put us in a commanding position.

"To be 2-0 up at half-time and still finish the job off, I think that is a positive.

"In the previous two games, you probably look and think: 'Wrexham 1-0 and 1-0,' and it doesn't sound as impressive.

"We take it all day long but it doesn't sound as impressive so 4-0 against second in the league is like a statement, but we have got to replicate in on Saturday."

Thomas says Luke Young's late goalline clearance, with Wrexham already cruising to victory, demonstrates the players have a real hunger to be successful.

"And to come out with a clean sheet too. Youngy cleared the ball off the line at the end and that shows what this squad is about," added Thomas.
