IT was a battle against Aldershot Town but a moment of magic from Luke Young meant Wrexham registered back to back wins for the first time this season.

The Reds won 1-0 at The Racecourse thanks to Young's excellent goal from outside the area in the 64th minute.

Victory in an end to end encounter came four days after Dean Keates' side beat Hartlepool by the same scoreline and extends the unbeaten run to three games, with Wrexham keeping a hat-trick of clean sheets in that spell.

Here's how the players rated.

ROB LAINTON: Produced two vital saves when Aldershot were on top in the second half.7

JAMES HORSFIELD: Made some important blocks and was instrumental in clean sheet and win. 7

FIACRE KELLEHER: Solid performance at the heart of defence and won the battle in the end. 7

THEO VASSELL: Had a lot to deal with when Aldershot pressed but did what was asked of him. 7

JAMIE RECKORD: Did his bit in keeping a clean sheet and had an assist for Young's winner. 7

PAUL RUTHERFORD: Worked hard but didn't really impose himself on the game when Wrexham attacked. 6

JAY HARRIS: Battling performance as Aldershot gave as good as they got in a close game. 6

LUKE YOUNG: Goes about his business and scored a great goal to secure victory. 7

ELLIOTT DURRELL: Always tried to make things happen for Wrexham in an end to end game. 6

JORDAN PONTICELLI: Had a brilliant early chance that was saved but kept plugging away. 6

KWAME THOMAS: Not everything came off but you can't criticise the effort from the frontman. 6

ADI YUSSUF: Late replacement for Ponticelli. 5
