NORTH WALES CRUSADERS are exploring the possibility of rugby league returning to the scene of their most famous moments.

Chief executive Andy Moulsdale, who played for Crusaders at The Racecourse Ground, is keen to take Anthony Murray’s men back to the home of Wrexham Football Club.

“It’s something we are looking at,” confirmed Moulsdale, who captained the club to silverware during their six-year spell at The Racecourse.

“We have always been keen to play at The Racecourse if it’s possible, but we need to see what happens with the takeover.

“I don’t see why we couldn’t return to The Racecourse, we’ve worked with the football club before and something can be agreed that benefits both of us.”

On Wrexham’s prospective takeover by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Moulsdale added: “We as a club want Wrexham Football Club to thrive. The town needs a successful football team and hopefully they want a successful rugby league team as well.”
