FRUSTRATION was the name of the game as Dean Keates reflected on two points dropped.

Keates watched on as Wrexham were dominated proceedings, but failed to carve out any real clearcut chances to beat Barnet, who held firm to grind out a goalless draw.

“I thought we started really well for the first 20 minutes, but after that it evened out and it became a bit tentative and maybe our emotions controlled us and there was a bit of frustration,” said Keates.

“We will take the positives which is a clean sheet.”

Pressed further on his side’s performance at an empty Racecourse, Keates continued: “I thought we started brightly and if we’d got a goal in the first 20 minutes it would have given us confidence.

“The longer the game went on, the lads were getting a bit frustrated and we need to manage that.

“For long periods of the game we were in control and we need to take our chances and make better us of our opportunities.”
