DON’T be surprised if Dean Keates rotates his squad against Yeovil tomorrow.

The Reds boss made three changes to the side that kicked-off the new campaign with a 2-1 home win over Boreham Wood on Saturday for the 1-0 loss at Solihull Moors, although one was enforced with Adi Yussuf failing to recover from a groin injury.

Keates, who also switched from 4-4-2 to a 4-1-4-1 system, was pleased with the performance but hinted at again tweaking the team for the clash with the Glovers at Huish Park.

“I believe that we have got almost two teams,” said Keates. “Players who can cover in a couple of positions.

“We’ve got the squad to be able to rotate and keep it as fresh as we can to be able to sustain that kind of pressure that we have on teams, and try to dominate every single football match.

“There were lads who were involved at the weekend and not in the 16 at Solihull, and there are lads who have not been involved in the two squads.

“That is my decision. Everybody has trained well, everybody has given everything and I pick the 16 ready to go for a game.

“I will possibly change it at the weekend.”

Wrexham created the better chances against Solihull who scored the only goal when the Reds switched off from a corner.

Despite suffering a first defeat of the campaign, Keates felt there were a lot of positives to take ahead of the trip to Yeovil.

“It is still early days,” said Keates. “You want to keep momentum and you want to keep winning but I am talking about a positive performance; just disappointed that we have not picked up anything.

“We would have been disappointed with a point.

“The be-all-and-end-all is to score. No-one looks at how well you have done so that is the big negative.

“We were relentless and kept pushing them back. With a little bit of luck and a little bit more finesse with the finishing, we would definitely come away with a minimum point if not three.

“We will go to Yeovil and do our best to get three points. The lads will go there hungry and wanting to put the wrongs right from Solihull."
