KWAME THOMAS wants to score goals for Wrexham but the striker won't be afraid to do the dirty side of the game.

A tall and physical frontman, Thomas has put pen to paper on a one-year contract after completing a six-month deal at League One side Burton Albion.

Thomas, who has represented England at under-16, under-17 and under-20 level, and has also played for the likes of Notts County, Blackpool, Coventry, Solihull and Doncaster since starting his career with Derby, believes he is suited to the National League.

"I am very excited about joining Wrexham," said Thomas.

"There were a few teams that showed an interest but Wrexham stood out.

"It is an opportunity to play in a good team.

"From what I know about Wrexham, they have got really good technical, passing players.

"My strengths are more pace and power, that side of things that you need in the Conference.

"Of course you can pass and what not, but you need a bit of that as well.

"A Tuesday night and it is raining, you have got to change it up in the Conference from game to game and you need a bit of power and pace."

But Thomas also wants to score goals for the Reds.

"That is the biggest thing. As a striker you have got to score goals so that is my aim," said Thomas.

"I have got to be getting goals."
