TEAMS can start planning their promotion campaign after the Football Association of Wales finally revealed the remainder of their league set-ups for next season.

FC Queen’s Park will be one of the favourites to take the tier four title where they will be joined by former Welsh Alliance League outfit Greenfield.

Park were playing in the Cymru Alliance two years ago and were denied the Welsh National League title 12 months ago after having points deducted late.

Scott Beck’s Greenfield were hopeful of making it into tier three but their plans were scuppered much to the annoyance of club secretary Dennis Hogan.

Hogan’s letter to the FAW read: “Greenfield FC do not wish to appeal against the decision to not grant the club tier three status but want to raise our points to yourselves as I believe you are supposed to be there for the clubs when they have a genuine point for an extension due to the current situation as no work can be done to ground whilst under strict social distancing rule set by the Welsh Government.”

North East Wales League champions Chirk Town will enjoy their step and will be joined by last season’s rivals Acton and Brymbo Victoria.

Welsh National League stalwarts Lex XI will look to revive their fortunes and are one of 12 former Welsh National League sides in the division.
