THERE were mixed emotions for Flintshire trio Airbus, Flint Town United and Holywell Town as the Football Association of Wales confirmed promotion and relegation should be implemented.
Flint Town United have been promoted to the top-flight for the first time since the 1997/98 season after Niall McGuinness' men secured a runners-up finish in the Cymru North.
But the Silkmen's promotion comes at the expense of Airbus, who alongside Carmarthen Town, have been relegated, Steve O'Shaughnessy's men dropping into the Cymru North after just one season back in the top-flight.
Holywell Town have had their promotion from the Welsh National League rubber-stamped, John Haseldin's men back in the second tier after a 12-month absence.
"I'm delighted," said Haseldin. "After a couple of really tough years the club looks to be back on track."
Corwen, Llanfair United and Porthmadog have been relegated from the Cymru North.
