NATHAN BROWN and Mark Cadwallader were award winners as Flint Town United honoured a fine 2019/20 Cymru North campaign.

The Silkmen secured a second-placed finish, which could yet bring about promotion to the top-flight, and reached the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cup.

And the Flintshire outfit ran an online poll to decide the club's Kevin Loftus Young Player of the Season and the Supporters' Player of the Season.

Former Chester youngster Brown scooped the inaugural Kevin Loftus Young Player of the Season award with Cadwallader landing the Supporters' Player of the Season.

Brown picked up 43 per cent of the vote, pipping Brandon Burrows, who took 39 per cent, Dominic McHugh and Jacques Welsh to win the trophy.

The victorious Brown said: "Delighted to win this award, clearly Kevin was a special person who did so much for the club."

Cadwallader fought off competition from captain Richie Foulkes, Callum Bratley and Alex Titchiner to win the Supporters' Player of the Season.

The attacker, who scored 27 goals in all competitions, said: "Made up to receive supporters player of the year."

Flint boss Niall McGuinness was pleased to see the duo pick up the awards, saying: "Congratulations to @Naybrown23 & @MarkCadwallade2 on being voted as young supporters' player & supporter players of the season.

"Fully deserved for your efforts this season."

Nick Jones, meanwhile, has been named Corwen's new manager, replacing Sion Tudor Jones, who stepped down from the role last week.

Jones, who took caretaker charge of the Cymru North outfit after Danny Jellicoe's departure, said: "The easiest decision I have made in football.

"Such a fantastic club with the plans they have are exciting times, I can’t wait to get started and see where this journey will go."
