IT'S been one in, one out for Airbus as Jamie Crowther arrived at the Airfield and Andy Owens departed for pastures new.

Midfielder Crowther makes the move to Flintshire from Caernarfon Town to take up a player/coach role.

The former Connah's Quay Nomads' man has a coaching role with Airbus's academy, while Crowther came through the ranks at the Airfield as a youngster.

On his move, Crowther told the club's official website: "I'm really happy to be re-joining Airbus as a player coach.

"Firstly I would like to thank everyone at Caernarfon for the last two-and-a-half years.

"From the players and management with whom I have made some lifelong friends to the board and the heartbeat of the club - the fans - for their outstanding support!!

"We were so close to that European adventure this season and I am sure it's just around the corner!

"I have always been open about where I want to go in my coaching career and the opportunity to work alongside Shosh (Steve O'Shaughnessy) and Mark Allen at a club I've been involved at for over half my life as an academy player and academy coach was something I couldn't turn down and I can't wait to get started when it's safe to do so."

While Crowther landed at the Airfield, Owens departed, the ex-Nomads' striker confirming his decision to leave the Wingmakers after just one season on social media.

Owens wrote: "Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone @airbusukfc for the last season.

"I’ve decided to move on to a new challenge a bit closer to home but I’ll depart with some great memories and friends."

Cefn Druids have also confirmed that two more of last season's squad, Naim Arsan and Iwan Cartwright, have penned terms for the 2020/21 Cymru Premier campaign.

Arsan has played the majority of his football with the Ancients at left-back, but there are suggestions that the Futsal international will move further forward.

"I am thrilled to be staying with the Druids and feel at home and the fans are great and club is like a second home," said Arsan.

Cartwright enjoyed an impressive 2019/20 top-flight season having moved into a defensive midfield role under Huw Griffiths and then Stuart Gelling.

Griffiths, meanwhile, has started shaping his Caernarfon Town squad for the new season by keeping hold of Joe Williams, Noah Edwards, Gruffydd John, Sion Bradley and Ryan Williams.

Joe Williams will be vice-captain at The Oval, with Griffiths saying: "He's a quality player, he's a stalwart in the team and a catalyst for other people signing.

"I'm really looking forward to getting to work with him properly."

On keeping hold of Edwards, Griffiths said: "Noah is one of the most exciting young players in Welsh football." Ryan Williams is a "versatile, exciting young player", with John "big, strong and competitive", while Griffiths added of Bradley: "Sion will come in with his excitement, ability, his pace and his ability to go past players.

"He's a crowd-pleaser and I'm really excited to work with him."
