PETER CROUCH kicked off what could be a great way to pass the time during lockdown.

The former Liverpool and England striker named his top team of Peter’s and we want Leader readers to do the same.

Sports editor Nick Harrison and deputy Tom Norris have named theirs and we want to hear from you.

Include yourself in the team, pick a squad of 16 and send them in to: nick.harrison@newsquest.co.uk

THOMAS RAVELLI: Take the number one shirt after 143 caps for Sweden, who he helped finish third at the 1994 World Cup. Considered world class at the peak of his powers.

THOMAS MEUNIER: Not facing much competition on the right side of defence, but 40 caps for Belgium and close to 100 appearances for Paris St Germain mean he's deserving of a spot.

THOMAS LINKE: A hard-nosed German international with tremendous heading ability mean he has a place in the heart of defence. Spent seven years with Bayern Munich to emphasise his talent.

THOMAS VERMAELEN: Has Barcelona, Roma, Ajax and Arsenal on his CV, as well as 78 international caps in a talented era for Belgium. At his best a very good defender who is comfortable in possession.

THOMAS GRAVESEN: At his best he was good enough to play in a star-studded Real Madrid side. A tenacious competitor who was better on the ball than many give him credit for.

THOMAS HASSLER: One of just 11 German internationals to reach a century of caps. Was a key figure in the 1990 World Cup win and Euro 1996 triumph. A dead-ball specialist with fantastic technique.

TOMAS BROLIN: Won plenty of trophies in a fantastic Parma side in the early '90s. Was another world class talent in his prime, which was disappointingly short for an attacker with wonderful talent.

TOMAS ROSICKY: Nicknamed Little Mozart for his ability to orchestrate the midfield. Earned a century of international caps with Czech Republic and played for Arsenal and Dortmund, despite persistent injury issues.

TOM FINNEY: Bill Shankly apparently said: "Tom Finney would have been great in any team, in any match and in any age", which suggests how talented one of the game's greatest talents was.

THOMAS MULLER: Another German centurion, who has scored 38 international goals. Has played at Bayern Munich for his whole career, which is no mean feat. A workhorse who scores goals.

TOM NORRIS: An easy job playing up top in this team. The service I would receive would make scoring goals very easy.

SUBSTITUTES: Thomas Sorensen; Tomas Ujfalusi; Thomas Partey; Thomas Lemar; Thomas Hitzlsperger.

MANAGER

THOMAS TUCHEL: A world class coach. He might have problems sorting out defensive duties, but who wouldn't relish managing that group of attackers?
