DEAN KEATES insists Wrexham will head to leaders Barrow tomorrow with the belief they can pick up a much needed win in the fight against relegation.

The Reds are currently 19th in the National League, two points above the drop zone with just nine games to go.

Barrow hold a four point lead at the summit and although they are favourites to clinch three points at Holker Street, Keates says it's not a foregone conclusion that the Bluebirds will be celebrating victory.

"Every game is different and no game is easy in the division," said Keates.

"You look at how many teams are chasing to get out of the predicament we are in and how many teams are chasing for that top spot and a place in the play-offs.

"The division is wide open so just because you are going to the team top of the league, nothing is a given.

"We won't go there thinking we can't get anything just because they are top of the league.

"We will go there with a game-plan and do our best for this football club, and try to get the three points."

Keates knows Wrexham will have to soak up a lot of pressure and he wants his side to be effective when they break forward.

"We have got five clean sheets in our last seven games," added Keates. "We are going to get put under pressure because of how Barrow play.

"But as we have done at Harrogate and Bromley, we have to stand up to it and all being well we can put on a good, attacking performance ourselves and get three points."
