DEEFIRE are up to fourth in Division Two of the NEWNA Senior League after they picked up their fifth straight win in the competition.
Their commanding 47-22 success over a struggling Hope Harriers saw Dee-Fire move ahead of a Mold Ravens team who lost for the second time in a row.
The Ravens, who are now fifth, were beaten at home 54-47 by a sixth placed Storms side, with the win taking the visitors to within a point of Mold who have played a game more.
League leaders North Dragon Ignite won their eleventh game out of 12 as they thrashed Flint Foxes 71-30.
Second placed Buckley Jets have kept themselves within touching distance of the table-toppers, though, as they scraped past North Dragons Inferno 36-35.
In the only other fixture in the division, Dazzlers fell to a 48-22 reverse to Hope Hurricanes, to leave just six points between Dee-Fire in fourth and the Hurricanes in seventh.
Teams will return to action on March 10 as Dee-Fire host Flint Foxes, Hope Harriers welcome Buckley Jets, and Mold Ravens visit Hope Hurricanes.
Top of the table North Dragon Ignite go to Storms, while North Dragons Inferno face a home tie against Dazzlers in the league’s only other fixture.
