ANDY MORRISON will only call Connah’s Quay Nomads favourites when the bookmakers do - regardless of whether his side beat The New Saints on Friday night.

Nomads could extend their lead at the top of the table to four points with just seven games remaining, but are priced at 7/2 to win the title with Saints red-hot 1/5 favourites.

“I will call us title favourites when the bookmakers have us as favourites,” said Morrison when asked what a Nomads’ win would do for the title race.

“At the moment, TNS are 1/5 to win the league, which tells you everything you need to know.

“Bookies aren’t very rich for no reason, they don’t go around with holes in their trousers, instead they are very wealthy people because they get things right.

“TNS are 1/5. When those odds tip in our favour, then I will say we might be favourites. That’s a long, long way off.”
