A RUTHLESS Deeside Dominoes had no problems in shooting down the Mold Owls in their latest Under 15s Junior Netball League clash.

The Dominoes only narrowly prevailed last time out against the Owls, but it was much more routine this time around for the current league leaders.

Lexi Jones played a starring role in the game, as she led the Dominoes to a resounding 40-13 success which makes it two wins from two for her side since the division split into two.

Elsewhere in Group A, memories of Deeside DJs’ incredible 23 month winning streak are fading fast as they lost their second successive match.

Trailing 12-5 at the break, the DJs were unable to produce the comeback they needed as they eventually fell to a disappointing 22-11 defeat to Chester Wolves.

Jenny Preston was player of the match in a nail biting contest in Group B of the Under 15s league, but nothing could separate Deeside Darts and Rhosnesni Rainbows who drew 18-18.

In Group A of the Under 14s division, the Deeside Doves couldn’t maintain their fast start against a Wrexham Gems side who went on to win 26-11.

Deeside Diamonds U14s, though, have two wins from two in Group B after Katy Anglesea helped her side power past Mold Hawks 21-5.

Elsewhere in the division, the Deeside Dixies saw off Boughton Belle Lions 22-5 in a game where Tayha Jeffries claimed the player of the match award.

Deeside Dragonflies had a six point lead at half time in their Under 13s Group A clash with Boughton Belle Jaguars, but a second half fightback meant it ended level.

Sophie Woosey picked up the player of the match award for her starring role in the entertaining 17-17 draw.

The Leader:

In the Under 12s division, Hollie Owen helped the Deeside Dots improve dramatically after the break to claim a 15-8 success over Ellesmere Port Infernos

It was the opposite for the Deeside Dolphins U11s, though, as their 6-3 first half lead was wiped out by a Mold Kestrels side who fought back to win 9-7.

Top of the table Ellesmere Port Sparks produced a scintillating display to see off a fourth placed Deeside Daredevils 25-0, while elsewhere in the Under 9s division Macey Griffith helped the Deeside Dynamos to a 6-1 win over Rhosnesni Rabbits.
