MANAGER Dean Keates expects Shaun Pearson to be passed fit for this weekend’s clash against Torquay United at The Racecourse.
The influential Wrexham captain hobbled off in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Chesterfield with a foot injury but Keates is optimistic the centre-back will be passed fit when the Reds continue their battle to avoid relegation against the Gulls.
“He had a whack on the top of the foot and we are assessing it day by day but hopefully he will be fine,” said Keates.
“I am expecting Shaun to be fit.”
Left-back James Jennings, who has a knee ligament injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season, is due to undergo surgery on Wednesday.
