THERE was a reduced fixture list in the Junior Netball League this week with the Under 14 and Under 15 leagues affected by the U16 Inter-area competition in Cardiff.

But that didn’t stop Deeside’s Under 12 and 13 sides from cruising to big wins in their respective fixtures.

Deeside Dace U13s were in sensational scoring form as they ruthlessly beat bottom of the league North Dragon Embers 35-1 in a game where Megan Brown won the player of the match award.

The win means that the Dace are just three points off table toppers Ellesmere Port Flames at the halfway point of the season after winning 15 of their 17 games so far.

Deeside Dragonflies also won by a large margin in the Under 13s division as Sophie Woosey inspired her team to a comfortable 22-3 success over Holywell Harps to leave them in fifth place.

Meanwhile, in the Under 12s league, Deeside Dots are also just three points off top spot in third after Hannah Slack starred in her side’s 29-5 victory over Holywell Hornets.

Ellesmere Port Hurricanes recorded a league double over Deeside Dice U11s after they followed up their 25-2 win earlier in the season with a more closely contested 12-2 success this time around.

Deeside Daredevils played twice in the Under 9s division and managed to bounce back from a 9-0 reverse against second placed Chester Warriors by then recording a 2-0 win over Rhosnesni Ramblers with Darcie Bedford claiming the player of the match award.

Elsewhere in the league, Deeside Dynamos showed signs of improvements in their clash with Mold Robins, but they were unable to prevent their opponents from coming away with a 6-2 victory.
