WREXHAM were held to a dull, goalless draw against fellow strugglers Dagenham and Redbridge at a windswept Racecourse.

The blustery conditions made it difficult for both teams and there were few chances at either end.

The best two fell to Dagenham in the second half but Wrexham goalkeeper Rob Lainton pulled off two superb saves to deny ex-Reds striker Alex Reid.

Dean Keates' side did not get the ball down enough and found it tough going in a match that lacked quality but kept a third successive clean sheet, taking seven points from a possible nine.

Wrexham are now 19th in the National League, five points above the relegation zone.

Here's how the players rated:

ROB LAINTON: Produced two brilliant second half saves from Alex Reid to ensure Wrexham took a point. 7

JAKE LAWLOR: The Reds’ back three were solid on a tricky day because of the windy conditions. 6

SHAUN PEARSON: Marshalled the defence well and limited Dagenham to only a couple of chances. 6

KIERAN KENNEDY: The centre-back played his part in Wrexham keeping a third clean sheet in a row. 6

JORDON THOMPSON: Was used as a wing-back on his debut and grew into the role. 5

LUKE SUMMERFIELD: Wrexham’s midfield was unable to stamp their authority on the game. 5

LUKE YOUNG: Not as his best but has set very high standards of himself this season. 5

JAMES JENNINGS: Got forward a lot to support attacks but was forced off with an injury late on. 5

DAN JARVIS: Showed in the first half what a good footballer he is but faded after the break. 6

JJ HOOPER: Had one half chance but did not get enough service and lacked support. 5

PAUL RUTHERFORD: A lot of effort but did not impose himself on the game enough. 5

JAY HARRIS: Some good touches. 5

DAVIS KEILLOR-DUNN: A late substitute. 4
