WREXHAM responded to the awful performance against Aldershot by beating play-off chasing Woking 3-0 at The Racecourse.

The Reds weren't at the races against fellow strugglers Aldershot in the previous game a fortnight earlier but produced the perfect response.

Midfielder Luke Summerfield scored twice - his first a stunning strike from outside the area before converting a late penalty - with lively debutant Dan Jarvis capping a fine display by scoring himself.

It was no more than Wrexham deserved and they could have won by more.

Here's how the players rated:

ROB LAINTON: The reflex save he pulled off just before half-time was top drawer and deserved a clean sheet. 7

JAKE LAWLOR: Wrexham’s back-three performed well and held firm when Woking pressed. 7

SHAUN PEARSON: The captain led the line brilliantly and was a commanding figure in Wrexham’s defence. 7

KIERAN KENNEDY: Solid display from the centre-back to nullify Woking’s threat. 7

MARK CARRINGTON: Did his job to good effect at both ends of the pitch. 7

LUKE SUMMERFIELD: Brilliant all-round performance and scored a spectacular goal as well as a penalty. 8

LUKE YOUNG: Was his usual busy self and combined brilliantly with Summerfield in the middle. 7

JAMES JENNINGS: Defended well and also got forward a lot to support attacks. 7

PAUL RUTHERFORD: Was full or running as Wrexham created a host of good chances. 7

JJ HOOPER: Had chances to score and on another day could have had a hat-trick. 7

DAN JARVIS: Looks a very good footballer. Supplied telling through balls and got a debut goal. 8

DAVIS KEILLOR-DUNN: Slotted in well when Jarvis went off and close to a goal. 7

TYLER REID: Came on in closing minutes. 4

JASON OSWELL: An injury time substitute. 4
