DEESIDE fought back to come from behind and secure a 43-37 away win against Trafford in the North West Premier Division.

The victory takes tenth placed Deeside to within six points of their recent opponents in ninth having played a game less.

Up until the final quarter in the match, though, it seemed as though Deeside were unlikely to leave with the points.

The Flintshire club trailed by five points at the end of the first period, before finding themselves level with Trafford until the fourth and final quarter where a clinical Deeside stole the win with some sharp shooting and solid defensive work.

Meanwhile, in Division Two of the North East Wales Netball Association, Dee-Fire also stole a victory as the young side claimed a 47-45 success against Storms.

League leaders North Dragon Ignite strolled to another convincing win as they blew away Dazzlers 77-18.

Buckley Jets kept themselves within touching distance of the table toppers as they downed fourth placed Mold Ravens in a 49-40 victory.

North Dragons Inferno stay third after they came away with a 49-26 success over bottom of the league Hope Harriers, while Flint Foxes suffered a 36-26 reverse to Hope Hurricanes in the league’s other game.
