DEAN KEATES admits not having a game tomorrow is far from ideal as Wrexham must wait two weeks before they can right the wrongs of the Aldershot defeat.

The Reds produced a woeful performance and were beaten 2-1 by fellow strugglers the Shots last weekend, leaving them two points above the relegation zone.

There is no game tomorrow as Wrexham have been knocked out of the FA Trophy so all the focus is on preparing for a positive reaction when Keates’ side host Woking next Saturday.

And the Reds boss should have completed new signings ahead of the clash with the Cards.

“Ideally, we would have had a game on Tuesday night to get a reaction and bounce straight back,” said Keates.

“We have shown those capabilities over the last few weeks. Unfortunately it has been win, lose, win, lose and not the consistency you want to see as a manager.

"The fans want to see back to back wins and numerous wins on the bounce but it has not come.

“We have seemed to bounce back every single time we have a defeat.

“It is a long time between games but we can address things and incorporate new faces into the squad.”
