DEAN KEATES wants another win from Wrexham at home to Aldershot tomorrow and he doesn’t care how they get it.

The Reds have been inconsistent over the festive period with two wins against Chorley offset by defeats at Sutton and Maidenhead.

But after the New Year’s Day victory at Chorley took Wrexham out of the relegation zone, Keates wants to build on that by making it two wins in a row against fellow strugglers Aldershot.

“It is a massive game for us,” said Keates. “We have got decent form at home but we can’t take anything for granted.

“Aldershot are down there, if we win it we have got the incentive of going above them so that is what we will be looking at.

“There is no given in the division, you have to turn up on the day and we have to make sure our players turn up with the right mentality as they did at Chorley, Solihull, Eastleigh and against Chorley on Boxing Day.

“We have to make sure we go again. We have won four out of six, we have to make sure we get five out of seven which is good form.”

Keates admits Wrexham weren’t at their best when beating Chorley 2-0 but all that matters to him is winning games to pull clear of trouble.

“We just need to make sure that we don’t yo-yo,” said Keates.

“It was far from a stellar performance against Chorley but if you offer me another 15 of those towards the end of the season, I would definitely take them and I imagine all the fans would as well and everybody with the football club.

“It is about building a bit of momentum and we have got a bit going forward.”
