DEESIDE DOMINOES thrashed Mold Starlings in the U15s division of the Aura Junior Netball League to ensure they stay top of the league for Christmas and the New Year.

In their final fixture before the festive break, the Dominoes raced into a 25-goal half-time lead before eventually going on to beat the Starlings 49-5 to maintain their perfect record.

Lexi Jones claimed the player of the match award for her performance in the big win that keeps the Dominoes top of the league on goal difference.

Second placed Deeside DJs kept themselves on the tails of the league leaders as they also continued their perfect start to the season with an 11th straight win.

Darcy Hastings starred in the game as she helped her team to a 32-6 derby win over the Deeside Darts who drop to ninth in the table.

In the Under 13s division, Deeside Dace also enjoyed a comfortable victory as Laura Haden helped her side to power past Holywell Harps in a 29-1 success that puts them third.

It wasn’t quite the same story for the Dragonflies, though, who were beaten 13-7 by Chester Bandits in a tight contest. The result moves the moves the Bandits up to fifth in the table, while the Flintshire team end the year in seventh.

Meanwhile, Deeside Dots U12s stayed at the top of their league as they extended their perfect record this season with a commanding 41-2 win over North Dragon Dazzlers where Poppy Ames was awarded with the player of the match award.

Deeside Dolphins U11s had a tougher time in their fixture against Rhosnesni Roses, though, as they fell to a 29-1 defeat in their last game of the year, while elsewhere in the league Freya Thomas helped the Dice to a hard-fought 6-5 success over Ellesmere Port Storm.

And finally, in the Under 9s division, there was another Deeside derby to end the year as the Dynamos took on the Daredevils. The two sides couldn’t be separated, though, as the contest ended 2-2 with Maisie Jones (Dynamos) and Darcie Bedford (Daredevils) claiming player of the match awards.
