DEESIDE Dominoes and DJ’s both recorded wins in their Under 15s division of the Aura Junior Netball League to keep their perfect records intact.

After their ninth straight wins, the two sides are both locked at the top of the table on 27 points with the Dominoes ahead on goal difference.

The DJ’s were ruthless in their win over Mold Starlings as Amelia Duff helped fire her side to a comfortable 37-2 success, while the Dominoes had to battle hard to overcome Wrexham Diamonds.

A tight opening five minutes saw the two sides level, but Kellie Murray upped the tempo to spur her team on to a hard-fought 31-17 win against the seventh placed Diamonds.

Elsewhere in the division, Deeside Darts U15s also claimed a win as they saw off North Dragon Phoenix in a 13-7 victory where Jenny Preston was handed the player of the match award.

It was a tougher weekend for Deeside’s spirited under 14 sides who all fell to agonisingly narrow defeats.

Emily Wilcock and her brave Deeside Diamonds teammates played well against a physical Wrexham Gems side, who had only lost once all season, but couldn’t quite prevent a 20-14 defeat against their third-placed opponents.

Izzy Ames starred for the Dixies who were beaten by the Rhosnesni Royals by just two points in a 10-8 win, while it was even closer for the Deeside Doves in their last game of the year.

They lost out by a single point to a Holywell Heat side who recorded a 12-11 victory to take them to within three points of the Doves in ninth place.

Deeside Dace looked to be facing a similar fate in their Under 13s division as they found themselves two goals down to Rhosnesni Raindrops at half-time.

But the combination of a half-time team talk and an inspired performance from Megan Brown saw the Dace hit back and ultimately claim a 17-13 win to keep them in touch with the league’s top two sides.

Elsewhere in the division, Deeside Dragonflies stay just three points behind the Dace as they recorded a comfortable 21-4 victory over Boughton Belle Emeralds with Tilly Aston picking up the player of the match award.

Deeside Dots U12s also picked up a win to maintain their perfect record with their tenth consecutive victory to move to the top of the league.

The Dots saw off a determined Mold Jays side 16-6 with Hannah Slack claiming the player of the match award for her performance.

Meanwhile, in the Under 9s division, Darcie Bedford helped her Deeside Daredevils draw 1-1 with Mold Falcons while the league leaders Ellesmere Port Sparks ran out 13-3 victors over the Dynamos.
