ALEC MUDIMU could have played his last game for Cefn Druids after agreeing a deal to sign for Moldovan champions Sheriff Tiraspol.

The Zimbabwe international's agent Dalibor Stevanovic has revealed that a deal is in place for Mudimu to move from Druids to Sheriff Tiraspol in the new year.

And while Druids are unable to confirm the news regarding their influential midfielder, who was left out of the squad that beat Guilsfield in the Welsh Cup on Saturday, Stevanovic said: ‘This is a very good opportunity for him because this is a very strong and professional club which regularly plays in European competitions.

‘‘What impressed me most is his professionalism and humility. I am sure he will do well at the club and this is a good start for him to join a bigger club.

‘‘This move will give him a chance to play in European competitions. I will use my 17 years of playing professional football to help him.”

Mudimu will get a chance to play in the Champions League qualifiers with Sheriff Tiraspol, who begin preparations for the 2020 Moldvovan National League season in January.
