WREXHAM registered a second victory in a row for the first time this season after beating high-flying Solihull Moors 2-0 at The Racecourse.
Dean Keates' side were on top in the first half and well taken goals by Omari Patrick and James Jennings secured a deserved lead.
Solihull put the pressure on after the break but resolute defending ensured Wrexham sealed a win which took the Reds out of the relegation zone for the first time since October.
Here's how the players rated:
ROB LAINTON: Hardly over-worked but did everything asked of him and kept another clean sheet. 7
MARK CARRINGTON: Resilient defending helped keep Solihull at bay in the second half. 7
JAKE LAWLOR: All the players defended well and Lawlor played his part with some telling interceptions. 7
SHAUN PEARSON: Again led by example in the back-line as Wrexham dealt with Moors’ threat in the second half. 7
KIERAN KENNEDY: Was also solid and coped well with a physical Solihull side. Has made a big difference. 7
JAMES JENNINGS: Rewarded with his runs forward by scoring a brilliant goal and was also sound defensively. 7
PAUL RUTHERFORD: Set up Jennings for the second goal and worked tirelessly throughout. 7
LUKE YOUNG: Not at his very best but played his part in the second win in a row. 6
AKIL WRIGHT: Covered a lot of ground in midfield, broke up play and had one of his best games of the season. 7
BOBBY GRANT: Had good chances in both halves but was twice denied by goalkeeper and didn’t add to his tally. 6
OMARI PATRICK: Scored another well-taken goal to make it three in two games and his pace caused problems. 7
JASON OSWELL: A late replacement for Patrick. 5
