OMARI PATRICK has got the scoring bug and he wants more goals during his stay with Wrexham.

The Reds go into tomorrow's game against high-flying Solihull Moors at The Racecourse on the back of a much-needed 2-0 win at Eastleigh in midweek with Patrick bagging both goals.

The 23-year-old winger, who joined Wrexham in November on an initial one-month loan deal from Bradford City where he has found opportunities limited, profited from being switched from the left-flank to a two-man attack alongside top scorer Bobby Grant.

And Patrick, who last found the net on his loan debut for Yeovil against Grimsby on September 1, 2018 when he scored the only goal in the League Two win, is hungry for more to help the Reds in their fight against relegation.

"It was good to score because I have been lacking goals," said Patrick.

"My last goal was on my debut for Yeovil against Grimsby so it is definitely a relief.

"I am happy that I could help the team gain confidence and score some goals so hopefully we can build on that now.

"I will definitely enjoy it more here if I am scoring goals.

"It is always good to score goals, there is no better feeling."

Patrick, whose pace caused Eastleigh problems throughout, admits he prefers playing as a winger but he thrived on his new role.

"I haven't had many minutes but hopefully I can build on that now, keep going and add to my tally," said Patrick.

"I haven't played in attack too often but when I am up there, I try and play to my strengths.

"Obviously I prefer playing as a winger but I am an attacker so anywhere across the front I should be able to cause some sort of threat and that showed against Eastleigh."

Keates switched from a 4-3-3 formation to a 5-3-2 system and Patrick felt Grant saw the benefits of having a strike partner.

"I think it was good for Bobby," said Patrick.

"Sometimes you can be isolated up there on you own so I was glad I could come and help him."

Grant set Patrick up for his second goal and he wants to return the compliment.

"He looked more confident and he put me in for the second goal," said Patrick.

"Hopefully I can return the favour and we work as a good partnership if we play together again and that formation keeps going.

"That is what we are practicing."
