WREXHAM come up against the team that Dean Keates thinks will win the league but he believes his side can pick up three points tomorrow at The Racecourse.

The Reds entertain a Solihull Moors side who have climbed up the table to third place following a slow start to the season.

By contrast, Wrexham slumped to the bottom of the table following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Ebbsfleet - the club's lowest ever league position - but the Reds won 2-0 at Eastleigh in midweek and are now 21st, two points from safety.

Although he is expecting a tough game, Keates says Wrexham will be buoyed by that first away victory of the season and he wants to build on it.

"In my opinion, Solihull are the team that is probably going to win the division," said Keates.

"It is going to be a test for us and something we can look forward to on the back end of a good away performance.

"Speak to any manager in the division, I think everybody believes that they can go into every game, home and away, and win.

"It is an open division and we are not where we want to be, and we have got to do something about that.

"There is a long way to go, it is a step in the right direction and we have to make sure we go and back it up with something at the weekend."

On-loan winger Omari Patrick, used in attack alongside Bobby Grant, scored twice in the first half to secure a much needed three points.

Resolute defending after the break kept mid-table Eastleigh at bay and Keates felt his side deserved the win.

"All we can do is just keep chipping away," added Keates.

"Rightly so you get critics, the club shouldn't be where it is, but we have got to deal with it and we have got to go forward.

"There have been some decent performances, we just haven't been getting the rewards.

"We spoke to the lads before the game and it was about what happened in the two 18 yard boxes. We needed to take our chances and needed to keep a clean sheet, and we did that.

"We got what we deserved."
