EVERTON v CHELSEA

NICK HARRISON: It’s the biggest mystery of 2019 to me but why did Everton spend all that money on Iwobi? No wonder they’re in the bottom three and they’ll be worse to follow at lunchtime. 1-3

TOM NORRIS: It’s hard to know what can be done at Everton between now and January. Tammy is back and firing for Lampard’s Blues, who really do enjoy life on the road. 1-2

DAN HEALD: Everton are in disarray after their derby humbling. Chelsea, by contrast, looked revitalised and sharp against Villa with Mount and Kante both back to their best. 1-2

BOURNEMOUTH v LIVERPOOL

NH: Liverpool looked better going forward with Salah and Firmino out of the side. Not that Klopp can put his feet but he’ll get through this hectic December period with no problems. 1-2

TN: The Cherries have become boring to watch and the Reds dismantled Howe’s men in this fixture last season. Salah has been rested and could be back on the coast with a bang. 0-3

DH: Bournemouth are in freefall after four defeats in a row. They can’t expect any mercy from a Liverpool side who tore Everton apart at times in midweek. 1-3

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v BURNLEY

NH: Mourinho needs a new keeper and at least two defenders if he’s going to make Spurs march again. Burnley are in their pre-festive slump - a bit like Harry Kane although you’re not allowed to criticise the great one, are you? 3-1

TN: The Special One was brought back down to earth at Old Trafford, but that won’t faze him with Alli and Son ready to mastermind a return to winning ways. 2-0

DH: Defeat at Old Trafford will have stung Mourinho. Expect a reaction from his players here against a Burnley side who fluctuate between effective and poor on a weekly basis. 3-1

WATFORD v CRYSTAL PALACE

NH: You have to admire Hodgson for what he achieves at Palace and what better game to add to their points tally than a trip to Championship-bound Watford. 1-2

TN: Whoever takes charge of Watford is a brave man, even if they made the Foxes work in midweek. It’s hard to see past a Zaha-inspired away win. 0-2

DH: Watford are at crisis point and relegation looms large at Vicarage Road. Hodgson’s Palace are ticking over nicely and are just two points shy of fifth place. Zaha and Milivojevic to wrap up the points for the visitors. 1-2

MANCHESTER CITY v MANCHESTER UNITED

NH: City fans will be looking forward to this more than those from across town. Jesus showed why he should be first choice as City’s main hitman but will he come up with the goods again? 3-1

TN: Got a feeling Ole might be a little more cautious than he was in midweek. But don’t expect an away win with Jesus leading from the front. 3-1

DH: City were terrific against Burnley. Pep’s side have faltered in recent weeks but will be brimming with confidence against an unpredictable United side. 2-1

ASTON VILLA v LEICESTER CITY

NH: Leicester are grinding out results but their defence has yet to be severely tested. Villa need a top class striker because they have to rely on Grealish and McGinn too much. They could still grab a point though. 1-1

TN: This game will suit Leicester more than Wednesday’s home clash with Watford. Vardy will exploit the space left as Villa attack. 0-2

DH: Villa were outclassed and out-passed at Stamford Bridge in midweek. Wesley needs a performance here after being a passenger in the side recently. The flying Foxes to march on by the odd goal. 1-2

NEWCASTLE UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON

NH: Ings to score at St James’s Park but The Magpies will nick all three points. 2-1

TN: Ralph’s Saints have picked up but a trip to the north east is never easy - just ask Pep. Bruce will know the importance of a home win, however it comes. 2-1

DH: Out of the relegation mire, the Saints will look to consolidate with a point. The Geordie faithful will expect victory but expect this one to end honours even. 1-1

NORWICH CITY v SHEFFIELD UNITED

NH: Could be the game when United come a cropper. Winning matches like this is crucial to The Canaries’ survival bid and they might just do it. 2-1

TN: Would have been a cracking Championship clash last season, and the home side will soon be back in the second tier despite their best efforts. Wilder’s Blades are canny. 0-1

DH: With Pukki firing again and the advantage of an extra day’s rest, Norwich will fancy their chances. It won’t be easy though against the dogged Blades. 2-1

BRIGHTON v WOLVES

NH: Wolves boss Santo has been complaining about the fixture pile-up but one thing he can’t afford to do at Brighton is rotate because The Seagulls are pretty good at home. 2-1

TN: Tough to get inspired by this fixture. Brighton are edging closer to the drop zone and Wolves have Europa League glory on their minds. 1-1

DH: Brighton’s need for points is increasing by the week, but Wolves continually churn out solid performances even away from home. All square. 1-1

WEST HAM UNITED v ARSENAL

NH: You’d hope that this will be a fiercely-contested London derby. Both teams have nothing to lose yet plenty to prove so it’s got draw written all over it. 2-2

TN: Pellegrini could do with a home win and what better opposition than the Gunners, who simply can’t defend. The Hammers should be celebrating on Monday night. 2-1

DH: Two porous defences should guarantee goals. Arsenal have the greater firepower and that could be decisive. 2-3
