NEWCASTLE UNITED v MANCHESTER CITY

NICK HARRISON: Newcastle will surely be a different team than the one that caved in at Villa on Monday while Mahrez may be the man to nick all three from points from The Magpies. 1-3

TOM NORRIS: City don’t always find life easy in the north east, but if Newcastle perform like they did at Villa it will be a comfortable afternoon for Pep’s boys. 1-2

DAN HEALD: This should be routine for City. Newcastle will pack their defence but Pep’s side will have the patience to unpick them and do some damage. 0-3

BURNLEY v CRYSTAL PALACE

NH: Burnley are looking good with Barnes and Wood the North West’s new Shearer and Sutton. Zaha finally got off the mark against Liverpool but he’s too hit and miss to create problems here. 2-0

TN: Dyche has gone back to basics at Burnley and it’s paying off. It’s a simple yet effective game the Clarets play and it might be too good for off-form Palace. 1-0

DH: Palace have endured a tough run of fixtures in the last month. It won’t be easy for them against the effective Clarets, but they can steady the ship with a point. 1-1

CHELSEA v WEST HAM UNITED

NH: Chelsea deserved a lot more from their City trip but defensively they are poor and that should give the struggling Hammers heart. West Ham might score first but Chelsea will bridge the gap. 3-1

TN: Having produced a valiant effort in defeat at the Etihad, Chelsea will be glad to be back at home and welcoming the struggling Hammers, who could well have a new manager if this goes the way it’s expected to. 3-1

DH: Two late goals against Spurs masked a poor Hammers performance last week. The pressure’s mounting on Pellegrini and he can’t expect any favours from former Eastender Frank Lampard. Abraham at the double in a home win. 2-0

LIVERPOOL v BRIGHTON

NH: We haven’t really seen Liverpool steam-roller anyone this season but this could be the day at Anfield. Even without Salah, Liverpool will win with ease and keep a rare clean sheet too. 4-0

TN: Liverpool have the makings of a title winning team - they are churning out results even when nowhere near their best. Brighton are the type of opposition Klopp’s men will enjoy facing. 3-0

DH: Even after the exertions of facing Napoli, you can’t see Liverpool having too much trouble here. Winning’s become a habit for Klopp’s men in what could finally be ‘their year’. 3-1

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v BOURNEMOUTH

NH: You wouldn’t be surprised to see The Cherries spoil Jose’s party at The Lane. But Son, Kane and Alli will all want to grab the limelight to impress new manager Mourinho. 3-1

TN: Jose showed his coaching prowess in midweek and it’s unlikely that Spurs will be unpicked by the Cherries, who have surprisingly found goals hard to come by this season. 2-0

DH: Spurs were poor for long spells against Olympiakos on Tuesday night before Jose’s tactical interventions. Kane has looked sharper recently than he has for a long time and should make the difference again here. 2-1

SOUTHAMPTON v WATFORD

NH: You get the feeling both these two enjoy playing away more than they do in front of the home fans. Watford need to be solid and if so they’ll get a point. 1-1

TN: No-one has a worse home record than the Saints and that will give Watford huge encouragement. But that winless run has to end some time, and in Ings they have a real goal threat. 1-0

DH: Two clubs that have conceded 67 times between them this season, so goals shouldn’t be at a premium here. The points are just as vital to either side and this one could be lively. 2-2

NORWICH CITY v ARSENAL

NH: Great game for The Canaries to cage The Gunners in and grab back-to-back wins. There will be goals at Carrow Road where Arsenal might just have enough quality to nick it. 2-3

TN: This could be a cracker, unless of course you value strong defensive displays. There will be plenty of goals from two teams that only really know how to attack. Emery won’t last if he loses. 2-2

DH: Who saw Norwich’s win at Goodison Park coming? I didn’t. Farke’s side will have taken a lot of heart from the result and won’t fear an Arsenal side who treat defending as an afterthought. Aubameyang and Lacazette could make the difference here though. 2-3

WOLVES v SHEFFIELD UNITED

NH: The Blades’ final-20 minute display against United will worry Wilder especially coming up against a team that go at you right until the final whistle. Jimenez on the scoresheet again. 3-1

TN: If there is one manager who will know how to exploit Sheffield United’s system then it will be Nuno, who operates a very similar set up at Molyneux. Should be tight with the Blades extending their unbeaten away record. 1-1

DH: Thursday’s Europa League trip to Braga might leave them slightly jaded. Chris Wilder will look to exploit any signs of tiredness and a point at Molineux would represent a decent return. 1-1

LEICESTER CITY v EVERTON

NH: Everyone expects Everton to lose and that can only act in the favour against a Foxes side who are now under pressure to produce top performances week in, week out. Another home won but it won’t be easy. 2-1

TN: The writing is on the wall for Silva at Everton and the only real surprise is that he hasn’t already departed. The pressure he is under will be increased by another defeat against the high-flying Foxes. 2-0

DH: The Foxes are a joy to watch at times and will be looking to tear into an Everton side lacking in identity and confidence. There’ll be no Silva lining for the Toffees boss here as Maddison and Vardy help Leicester march on. 3-1

MANCHESTER UNITED v ASTON VILLA

NH: McGinn and Grealish will enjoy the wide open spaces of Old Trafford where Solskjaer must demand more from a bunch of players who just don’t look happy with life. 3-2

TN: If Villa can find a way to get somewhere near emulating their home form on the road then they will have a comfortable season. At the moment they’ve picked up just one win and that doesn’t look like changing. 2-1

DH: Villa’s record at Old Trafford is dreadful, recording just one win there in 36 years. Solskjaer’s United are not be feared in the same way though and have frailties that can be exploited. 2-2
