A HOST of talented young cricketers were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts throughout the summer at a special event recently.

Llandudno Cricket Club held its junior presentation evening on Friday, November 8, which saw a large contingent descend on The Oval for the occasion.

Cllr Angie O’Grady, mayor of Llandudno, was in attendance, as was club chairman John Rimmington and Llandudno’s Miss Alice, Millie Woodyatt.

There was a wealth of prize winners at the event, with Carys Lambe and Tyler Thomas sharing the U11 Player of the Year (Softball) Award and Casey Bedford securing the hardball distinction.

The U13 Player of the Year honours were presented to the standout pair of Charley Russell and Elliott Hughes-Whittaker, with the U15 accolades going to Oliver and Lucas Hughes-Whittaker.

Those in attendance were threated to a lavish spread and there was also a raffle with some fantastic prizes on offer, with Mr Rimmington also thanking parents, coaches and grounds staff for their invaluable contributions throughout the season.

The mayor closed proceedings by thanking the club and congratulating the North Wales Cricket League Premier Division side on their success at senior and junior level.
