BUCKLEY TOWN boss Dan Moore described his side’s capitulation in the 4-2 home reverse to Llanrhaeadr as a ‘ total disaster’.

The Bucks appeared to be cruising to victory after a first-half brace from Callum Humphries put them 2-0 up. But defensive complacency crept in as they shipped four without reply to throw away the points.

Iwan Matthews’ calm finish on 35 minutes brought Llan back into the game before Matt Evans rose highest to head home from a corner just before the break.

Evans was on target again on 57 minutes firing home at close range from a corner, with a well-executed lob from Matthews sealing victory for the visitors five minutes later.

Reflecting on a frustrating afternoon, Moore said: “I don’t know where to start with my comments on this game. We seemed to be comfortable at 2-0 up, up until around 40 minutes.

“Llanrhaeadr hadn’t really threatened us too much up until their first goal, which came as a result of a mistake, and then they’ve equalised from a free header inside our six-yard box.

“After putting ourselves in such a strong position, frankly it was a total disaster to become so complacent in the game, the players are fully aware of my feelings on the performance.

“We’ve put in two fairly solid performances against Llandudno and Prestatyn, and to follow it up with that is extremely hard to take.”

Colwyn Bay also celebrated a 4-2 victory as Mitch Bryant bagged a double at home to Llanfair United. Sion Edwards and Tom McGready also scored with Gethin Wyn Jones replying with a double.
