AIRBUS assistant manager Andrew Thomas believes tomorrow’s trip to Penybont is no more important than any other fixture.

The two promoted teams are in the relegation zone as they go head-to-head in Bridgend, but Thomas isn’t placing too much importance on the fixture.

“Every game is important,” said Thomas when asked whether there was extra significance in beating the basement outfit. “We need to keep our performance levels high, and if we can do that then the points will follow.

“We know we can pick up points against any team in the league as long as we continue to play like we have been doing.”

On the challenge of Penybont, managed by Rhys Griffiths, Thomas added: “I went to watch them against TNS and they were very good. They are organised and they’ve got good players, who will feel, like we do, that they should have more points than they’ve got.”

Thomas, who has received no phone call from official Gavin Townsend, will be without suspended on-loan Wrexham midfielder Matty Sargent, pictured, tomorrow as he serves the first game of his ban, while Jake Phillips is injured.

Phillips was stretchered off in the 1-0 defeat to Barry and went to hospital on crutches, Thomas explaining: “It’s not broken, but it’s badly damaged.”

Joe Palmer, Jordan Evans and Brady McGilloway are vying to replace Sargent and Phillips.

Bala Town will look to put their disappointing 1-0 loss at Newtown behind them by beating Cardiff Met at Maes Tegid tomorrow, while Caernarfon head to Aberystwyth this evening.
