SOUTHAMPTON v BOURNEMOUTH

NICK HARRISON: It was a great win for The Saints a week ago but consistency has always been their problem so can’t see them making it two wins on the trot in what will be a dreary draw. 1-1

TOM NORRIS: Bournemouth showed what they are capable on home soil against Everton last week, but can they do it on the road? Southampton relied on a moment of magic from Moussa Djenepo to win at Bramhall Lane, and Hasenhuttl will be hoping for more of the same. 1-1

DAN HEALD: A south coast clash to kick off the weekend. The Saints did just enough at Bramall Lane last weekend, but Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth will ask many more questions of their defence. 1-2

LEICESTER CITY v TOTTENHAM

NH: Kane loves this fixture but it may be Son who takes the limelight against a Leicester side that offer so much but sometimes provide so little. 1-2

TN: Brendan’s Foxes have failed to hit the heights they promised while Spurs clicked into gear by dispatching Palace last weekend. Spurs will enjoy being able to play on the break and Son is key to the visitors’ chances of victory. 1-2

DH: This is a real test of Leicester’s top-six credentials against technically better opposition. Spurs looked back to near their best last week after playing with much more attacking intent and their could be goals again here. 2-2

BURNLEY v NORWICH CITY

NH: It’s Barnes v Pukki in the battle of the shock Golden Boot award winner. You can see both players scoring at Turf Moor but I can’t imagine The Canaries will cage Burnley at home. 2-1

TN: If Norwich hadn’t been so enterprising on their return to their top-flight this would have been one to forget, but every neutral is keeping a close eye on Farke’s Canaries. Pukki, Buendia and Cantwell can cause Burnley’s defence plenty of problems. 2-2

DH: Norwich know the Premier League is an unforgiving place and don’t be surprised to see a cautious defensive approach from Dyche yield a point. 1-1

EVERTON v SHEFFIELD UNITED

NH: An early goal for Everton is crucial. If they get that, then it will be easy even with the way The Blues dodgy back four are playing this season. 3-0

TN: After last week’s humbling to Howe’s Cherries, Everton need to get back on track and a visit from Sheffield United offers them the perfect chance to do just that. Iwobi, Sigurdsson and Richarlison should have too much guile. 2-0

DH: The Phil Jagielka derby. Everton have been frustratingly erratic this season, but you have to believe they’ll have the quality to take the points off the dogged but inexperienced Blades. 2-1

MANCHESTER CITY v WATFORD

NH: Pep’s problems in defence may have been helped by their Shakhtar shutout and the visit of Watford won’t exactly have them running scared. 3-1

TN: If you could pick a team to play at home after a shock defeat then Watford would almost certainly be near the top of the list. Pep’s serial winners won’t have enjoyed the last week and will be doing everything they can to put that right. 4-1

DH: Laporte’s long-term injury is a huge blow while John Stones’ absence will be less keenly-felt. Watford may want to test City’s resolve here, but I can’t see City slipping up twice in a row. 3-1

NEWCASTLE UNITED v BRIGHTON

NH: Has a great chance of being the last game on Match of The Day. Newcastle need home wins while Brighton will head up north and park the bus. 1-1

TN: It would be easy to think that Brighton have had a solid enough start to the season and that Newcastle, in contrast, had been poor, given the media coverage. In reality, there is just one point between the two sides and Bruce will be looking to solve that this weekend. 1-0

DH: This doesn’t have the makings of a classic. Neither side has really hit their stride this season and a cagey draw could be on the cards. 0-0

CRYSTAL PALACE v WOLVES

NH: Wolves boss Nuno claims his side aren’t suffering from their Europa League exploits but a defeat at Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon will prove they are. Zaha to come to the party in this one. 3-2

TN: Roy’s boys are usually tight at the back, but they were embarrassed by Spurs and the wise old head will have been getting back to basics on the training pitch. Wolves don’t seem as entertaining as last season and don’t surprised to see the points shared. 1-1

DH: Palace were outclassed by Spurs while Wolves were mauled at home. The latter’s Europa League exertions could be their undoing this season. 1-1

WEST HAM v MANCHESTER UNITED

NH: The Hammers have so much individual talent but it’s a team ethic they need if they are going to be serious top-six challengers. This home fixture against United has, historically, seen goals. James for United and Noble from the spot. 2-2

TN: United were written off before the Leicester match. But poor form and mounting injury problems were shrugged off as they went and beat Leicester. The Hammers, meanwhile, look a little short of their best at the moment. 1-1

DH: The Hammers look composed in possession and able enough going forward, but they lack a credible goal threat. United should take heart from their gritty win over Leicester and a Daniel James strike could settle this. 1-2

ARSENAL v ASTON VILLA

NH: The lack of a quality goalscorer will hurt Villa this season. They should have chances against an awful Arsenal defence but The Gunners will create and score more with Aubameyang at the double. 3-1

TN: It’s tempting to stick Aubameyang in the fantasy team for this one given his prolific form and Arsenal’s goal scoring exploits at home. Mings will have to prove why he’s earned England recognition if Villa are to get anything. 2-0

DH: Arsenal’s midfield was as non-existent as Villa’s attack last weekend. Aubameyang’s a huge threat for the Gunners though and can inspire Emery’s side to a morale-boosting win. 2-0

CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL

NH: A great game to finish off the weekend. Both teams are attack-minded and both will want to erase the memories of pretty poor performances in the Championship League. 2-4

TN: You’ve got to admire the new-look Chelsea. There’s a youthful exuberance to Frank’s Blues and they won’t back down from a challenge. Unfortunately, Liverpool have Firmino, Salah and Mane. 1-3

DH: Two teams reeling from Champions League defeats. Mount’s potential absence is a big blow for the hosts, but even with him in the side Chelsea will struggle to contain the rampant Reds. 1-3

SCORES SO FAR: Nick Harrison 35, Dan Heald 31, Tom Norris 28.
