IF England's battle with Australia has got the juices flowing then South Africa versus North Wales is well worth a look.

For a second successive year, Connah's Quay Cricket Club will play host to a game between a Saffa XI and a North Wales XI in aid of Care and Repair North East Wales on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams, featuring plenty of familiar faces, will go head-to-head in a 40-over per side match, starting at 12pm, in order to raise funds for Care and Repair's Community Crisis Fund, which helps people in need across Flintshire and Wrexham.

The agency provide fantastic services supporting the elderly, disabled, veterans, hoarders, hospital discharges, community sport and well-being, local authorities and plenty more.

A JustGiving page has been set up with the aim of raising £2,000, with organisers managing to secure match funding for the total amount.

Martin Burger, a driving force behind the match, will lead the Saffa XI with fellow Connah's Quay duo David Fox and Callum Miller, and the club's former bowler Darren Leach, who is now at Upton.

The rest of the Saffa XI is as follows: Keegan Armstrong (Fleetwood); Tristan Coetzee (Pwllheli); Luke Filer (Oxton); Franco Kasner (Bangor); O’Shay Reddy (Sandbach); Jason Underwood (Formby); David Winter (Bangor).

Captaining the North Wales XI will by Bangor's Robbie Marshall with Quay's Scott Adams, Brymbo all-rounder Dan Parry and Gresford ace Chris Ellwood also involved.

The rest of the North Wales XI is: Jason Foulkes (St Asaph); Matty Humphreys (Mochdre); Harrison Jones (Denbigh); Sam Lewis (Denbigh); Owen Reilly (Bangor); Jack Rimmington (Llandudno); William Ryan (St Asaph).
