BRYMBO climbed out of the Premier Division drop zone with a 112-run derby day victory over Gresford.

Captain James Claybrook struck an unbeaten 100 and Mohamed Nilam Jayman hit a half century as Brymbo posted 207 for five.

And that proved enough to secure a crucial victory for Brymbo as Wayne Smith and Ross Roberts bagged four wickets apiece and Gareth Boyes picked up the other two to bowl Gresford out for 95.

Brymbo’s win saw Pontblyddyn slip into the bottom two as the Flintshire outfit lost to visiting Mochdre by four wickets.

A depleted Pont outfit were bowled out for 123, Ben Mason top scoring with 38, before putting Mochdre under pressure.

James Hughes (3-43) and Mark Neath (2-31) kept Pont in with a shout of victory, but Mochdre were able to get across the line.

Rock-bottom Connah’s Quay were blown apart by Alec Lewis’ 8-8 as Denbigh cruised to a 208-run win.

Lewis was just too good for Quay’s fragile batting line-up, who were skittled for just 24 after Denbigh had posted 232 all out.

Josh Clarke bagged 5-44 for Quay, but his spell was overshadowed by Lewis’ excellence.

Ammar Mahmood enjoyed himself as Northop overcame Pwllheli by nine wickets.

Mahmood scooped 4-12, and with Andy Poynton taking 4-30, Pwllheli were bowled out for 135.

All-rounder Mahmood then struck a run-a-ball 57 not out to help guide Northop to 137 for one inside 20 overs, Jordan Evans also finishing unbeaten on 62.

Leaders Bangor wrapped up a five-wicket home win over Llandudno, while Menai Bridge, in second, beat St Asaph by 22 runs.

George Deniz struck an unbeaten century for Mold - but their trip to Division One leaders Conwy ended in stalemate.

Deniz hit 10 fours and two sixes on his way to 111 not out, while Duane Williams struck a half century in Mold’s 227 for six.

But rain saw Conwy’s reply ended on 81 for one as they chased a revised target of 147 from 25 overs.

Llay Welfare are now just 14 points adrift of Conwy after they beat Bethesda by seven wickets.

Nathan Humphreys pocketed 4-17 as Bethesda were bowled out for 108 - a total Llay passed with Dave Phennah hitting 54.

Gwersyllt Park are also in a position to take advantage of any slip up by Conwy after beating Abergele by five wickets.

Abergele were restricted to 233 for eight, Ethan McCarthy with five wickets as Ben Garnett struck 99.

But Jake James (81) and Lee Beer (74 not out) helped Gwersyllt to victory with five balls to spare.

David Hughes struck an unbeaten 84 as Hawarden Park defeated Dolgellau by seven wickets.

Ian Martin bagged 3-22 as Dolgellau were restricted to 154 for seven, before Hughes anchored a successful run chase.

Alwyn Williams picked up 6-12 as Llanrwst (82-1) beat Bersham (81) by nine wickets, while Ruthin (115-7) secured a three-wicket win at Carmel and District (114-9).
