CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS have been handed a home Scottish Challenge Cup semi-final against Edinburgh City.

On paper, it looks like the most favourable draw for Nomads as they welcome Scottish League Two side Edinburgh to the Deeside Stadium over the weekend of February 16/17.

It's Nomads' reward for beating Queen's Park at Hampden Park last Friday night, the Welsh Premier League outfit hitting back from a goal down to win 2-1 courtesy of goals from George Horan and Michael Wilde.

"It's a great result, and the right result," said Morrison after the memorable victory. "That's the fourth game on the trot where the opposition goalkeeper has been man of the match.

"We knew what we were up against, we knew it would be tough, but make no mistake about it, it's the correct result. The best team on the pitch, the team that dominated and asked the most questions, came away with the victory."

The other last four tie sees Dublin-based Bohemians or East Fife make their way to Ross County, with the final of the competition set to be played on the weekend of March 23/24.
