LLANDUDNO manager Iwan Williams could not hide his frustration as his side fell to a 2-1 home loss at the hands of Carmarthen Town.

The struggling JD Welsh Premier League side were once again counting the cost of missed opportunities in another disappointing result at the Giant Hospitality Stadium, and they now have the weekend off to regroup before their trip to Connah’s Quay Nomads on December 1 (2.30pm).

Williams, said: I thought we were better and I did feel a sense of pride towards the end as they all kept going, but it really is the story of our season.

“Carmarthen came here and sat back and to be honest we’ve battered them but just cannot seem to get the ball in the back of the net. Gary Taylor-Fletcher has become our league top scorer in a game and a half which says it all really.

“We have a long two weeks to dust ourselves down and think about things now, but this is a difficult one to take. I have worked my socks off to put things right, people will look at me but there is a lot going on in my personal life but I still keep on turning up and thinking of solutions.

“I am a Llandudno supporter and I am hurting as much as anyone else. There is a massive knot in my stomach about how this game finished as we should have won it comfortably.

“We made changes and they may have cost us the game but it’s an opportunity for those lads to prove they belong in the team but it I difficult to drag character out of players and we have tried everything.”

The Old Gold took the lead on 26 minutes when a Greg Walters thunderbolt from 25 yards flew past Shaun Pearson, but the home side levelled things up soon after when Taylor-Fletcher converted from the spot with 29 on the clock.

Danny Hughes, Mark Connolly and Toby Jones all spurned good opportunities after the break, and Tudno were made to pay for their lack of conviction in front of goal on 80 minutes when a Ceri Morgan header sealed victory for the visitors.
