RGC have named a strong squad for this weekend’s home clash with Bargoed.

The Gogs return to Stadiwm Zip World on Saturday looking to end a run of disappointing results (2.30pm), and head coach Mark Jones has named a strong line-up that is full of exciting attacking talent and experienced figures.

One notable absentee is Dion Jones, who misses the crucial contest after suffering a neck injury during last weekend’s loss at Carmarthen Quins, with the versatile Danny Cross moving into the full-back position to compensate for the former Academy prospect’s loss.

The likes of Joe Simpson, Evan Yardley, Tim Grey and Andrew Williams will be look to take control of the game in the trenches after being named in the pack, which also benefits from the return of former Wales U20 international Sam Wainwright.

A talented back-line is headed by the scrum-half, fly-half duo of Efan Jones and Billy McBryde, who have been mainstays in the starting line-up this season and have both performed well, with Tom Hughes, Iolo Evans, Rhys Williams and the pacey Sam Jones sure to provide the home side with plenty of firepower as they look to get their top flight season back on track.
