BRIGHTON v WOLVES

NICK HARRISON: This has all the makings for a turn-off TV moment. Wolves will want to keep it tight after last week’s shock loss while Brighton are better at the back than they are going forward. 1-1

TOM NORRIS: It’s hard to be overly excited about this televised clash, but Brighton are enterprising at home and Wolves will be keen to avenge last week’s no-show against Watford. 0-1

DAN HEALD: Wolves are better than their home defeat to Watford would suggest and offer a little more dynamism in attack than the Seagulls. 1-2

FULHAM v BOURNEMOUTH

NH: Surprised at Bournemouth not breaking through the Saints defence a week ago but there’s no need to worry at Craven Cottage where everyone scores. High-scoring draw on the cards on the banks of the Thames. 2-2

TN: Fulham have comfortably the worst defence in the division and it’s not hard to see why. Bournemouth failed to find a way past Southampton, but today’s hosts will be far less secure. 2-3

DH: There’s growing pressure on Jokanovic to stop the rot quickly, but his fondness for tinkering with with his starting XI could be his downfall. The Cherries to take a point. 2-2

LIVERPOOL v CARDIFF CITY

NH: Liverpool looked lacklustre at Huddersfield and maybe Champions League football is taking its toll again at Anfield. They should still have enough in the tank to win this. 3-0

TN: Klopp’s Reds have failed to catch fire this season, which might be a concern, or it might be a worry for the rest of the division. Mane, Salah and Firmino will be reunited and Cardiff sent packing. 4-0

DH: Liverpool haven’t found the swagger they showed last season, but that’s an afterthought when your winning games regardless. The Bluebirds’ one-game winning steak ends here. 2-0

SOUTHAMPTON v NEWCASTLE

NH: Bet this will be the last game on Match of The Day tonight. It’s not even November and you’d have to class this as a relegation six-pointer. Sparky needs a win but so does Benitez. 1-1

TN: A tussle between two managers that would snap your hand off for a win. Southampton should be doing better than they are, but the same could be said for Rafa’s Newcastle. Will be cagey. 1-0

DH: Newcastle are in a sorry state and their ardent fanbase deserve better. Southampton lack identity and too often are overly-cautious in games. 0-0

WATFORD v HUDDERSFIELD

NH: Five games into this week’s predictions and there’s not one match that has whet my appetite. Watford should win this but I’ve got a sneaky feeling Huddersfield could grab a point. 1-1

TN: Having stunned Wolves on home turf Watford will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing the struggling Terriers. It won’t be as easy as it could be, but it rarely is with Watford. 2-1

DH: Too often I’ve written Watford off this season, but they always surpass my expectations. Vital they build on last week’s fine result against a doomed Terriers side. 3-1

LEICESTER v WEST HAM

NH: Both teams need a win and a performance to convince their fans they are worth sticking with this season. Vardy looks a spent force while I’m not sure Pellegrini is the right man to take The Hammers forward. 2-1

TN: Leicester were very good for the first half an hour against Arsenal, while West Ham piled the pressure on Spurs late on. Both need to find a way of performing for 90 minutes. The side that an, wins. 2-2

DH: Consistency has eluded both of these teams so far, though Leicester were on the wrong end of some suspect officiating at Arsenal. 2-2

BURNLEY v CHELSEA

NH: Burnley are in danger of slipping further down the table unless they come up with a battling display of old. They lack quality up front but if The Clarets can rough-up Hazard, Dyche could be smiling at full-time. 1-2

TN: Hazard looks to be suffering from a back problem - probably from carrying Chelsea this season. They need the Belgian for games like this where Burnley will try to make it a dogfight. Chelsea to come out on top, just. 0-1

DH: Sarri has restored the freshness and energy that Conte sapped from the Chelsea squad last term. Burnley will be out to atone for their 5-0 mauling at the Etihad though and will try to shackle the visitors. 0-2

CRYSTAL PALACE v ARSENAL

NH: Hats off to Ozil. I’m his fiercest critic but handing him the captain’s armband was a masterstroke of a move by Gunners’ boss Emery. He tackled, harried defenders, scored and set one up on Monday. Watch out Palace! 1-3

TN: Palace are struggling and if one player in the division enjoys running rings around a down on their luck side it’s Ozil. With the German on song and Lacazette, Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan all in Emery’s attacking weaponry, Arsenal will win. 1-3

DH: Aresnal fans are purring again, and why not? Emery’s proving to be a shrewd appointment and Lacazette in particular looks transformed under his tutelage. Palace are badly out of form but are no pushovers at home. 1-2

MANCHESTER UNITED v EVERTON

NH: Martial’s the man in form and you wouldn’t back Lukaku to score against his improving old team on a day when United finally come good in front of the Old Trafford faithful. 3-1

TN: Everton’s XI looks strong on paper, but they huffed and puffed against Palace before breaking through. United are a funny old side at the moment and that makes them hard to predict. Expect a cagey contest. 1-1

DH: Lukaku was anonymous against Juve in midweek, but then Everton won’t have Bonucci and Chiellini in central defence. Martial to net a late winner in a tight home victory. 2-1

TOTTENHAM v MANCHESTER CITY

NH: Saving the best til last. Spurs haven’t clicked at all this season while City look slick. And with De Bruyne back, the champions will be even better to exploit the wide-open spaces at Wembley. 1-2

TN: This is more like it! City have looked at home at Wembley in recent trips, but the NFL action might have made the pitch tricky. Can that play into Spurs’ hands? Pep’s men will have just enough. 1-2

DH: Spurs look more porous in defence than recent seasons and City’s attackers never need a second invitation when they’re in the mood. Pep’s side to march on. 1-3
