CHELSEA v MANCHESTER UNITED

NICK HARRISON: Great game to kick-start the Premier League return to action but it will take something to beat the thrills and spills of that Spain v England encounter. This could well end it a stalemate. 1-1

TOM NORRIS: Fair play to the powers that be, they always put a cracking game on at Saturday lunchtime after the international break. Jose won’t want to lose this one, but Chelsea should win the midfield battle and allow Hazard to flourish. 2-1

DAN HEALD: International breaks have a a habit of breaking a a club side’s momentum. For that reason, this game won’t be the cakewalk it might have been for Chelsea a fortnight ago. A score draw on Mourinho’s return to the Bridge. 1-1.

BOURNEMOUTH v SOUTHAMPTON

NH: Bournemouth boss Howe deserves a lot of credit for making his side a lot more difficult to beat. If Fraser fires then it will be The Cherries fans who will have the South coast bragging rights. 2-1

TN: The fact that Bournemouth are four points off top suggests how well they’ve started the season, while the Saints are three points above the foot of the table. This only ends one way. 3-1

DH: It’s difficult to see past a home win here. Howe’s Bournemouth have steadily improved this season, while the Saints look devoid of ideas and creativity. 2-0.

CARDIFF CITY v FULHAM

NH: Warnock has already said he’s worried about getting the axe and a home defeat against a side Cardiff should beat won’t help his cause. 1-2

TN: Warnock is right to be worried about the axe, but would anyone else get more from this low quality squad? Fulham could do with a win in Wales, although they will have to roll their sleeves up. 1-1

DH: Cardiff look content just to make up the numbers in the Premier League this season with a squad sorely lacking quality. Fulham have struggled to adjust to the rigours of the top flight too, but i expect them to topple the Bluebirds here. 1-3.

MANCHESTER CITY v BURNLEY

NH: Burnley are getting back to their best but they’ll need a top-class display from keeper Hart, who will get a tremendous reception from City fans as he returns to The Etihad. He’ll be a busy man. 4-1

TN: What are the chances of Joe Hart producing a star performance to deny his former employers? Admittedly slim, not because he’s not a decent keeper, but City are just too strong. 3-0

DH: Anyone who likes an outside bet can back a Burnley win at 33/1 with certain bookmakers. Any takers? No, nor me. It won’t be as emphatic as many predict though, I’ll back a two-goal winning margin. 3-1

NEWCASTLE UNITED v BRIGHTON

NH: That performance at Old Trafford two weeks ago gave Newcastle so much hope but equal amounts of despair. It all depends on how attack-minded Benitez

wants his side to be. 1-1

TN: Benitez’s Toon Army showed what they can do in the first-half of their defeat at Old Trafford and now is the time to reproduce that performance against the rest of the division. 2-1

DH: Newcastle fans are enduring a miserable season. Hopes of an upset at Old Trafford were snuffed out by a resurgent united and I can see them struggling against a resilient Brighton side. 1-1

WEST HAM UNITED v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

NH: Can The Hammers raise their game like they at home to United? But maybe more questions need to be asked of a Spurs side how have flattered to deceive so far this season. 1-2

TN: Kane is playing deeper this season, taking less shots but creating more chances. I know I’d rather have him in the box putting those efforts away. The Hammers have to be wary, however. 2-2

DH: It’s been two steps forward one step back for the Hammers lately, while Spurs have found that winning knack without playing their best football. There’s no love lost between their supporters either, so it could be a spicy affair. 1-2

WOLVES v WATFORD

NH: You would have expected this to be a relegation battle at the start of the season but these two could be battling it out for a Europa League slot. Wolves will have to work hard to win if they don’t want the manager of the month curse to strike. 2-1

TN: Wolves are a joy to watch. They get wing-backs Jonny and Doherty as high up the pitch as possible and that creates plenty of issues for the opposition. Watford’s form is starting to tail off and the hosts will fancy this. 2-0

DH: After last season’s swashbuckling Championship campaign Wolves haven’t disappointed on their return to the top-flight. Javi Gracia deserves immense credit too for turning the Hornest into a force in the division. 2-1

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v LIVERPOOL

NH: Huddersfield have to start winning soon but it will take one helluva shock get the better of Liverpool even if their Fab Three frontline have under-performed of late. 1-3

TN: The injuries are mounting up for Klopp’s Reds, but they’ve got better strength in depth this season and, after all, it is only Huddersfield. 0-2

DH: If Klopp didn’t enjoy the international break beforehand, he’ll hate them now that Mane, Keita, Salah and van Dijk have all picked up knocks. That said, Huddersfield have been poor all season and even a depleted Reds side should dispatch them. 0-2

EVERTON v CRYSTAL PALACE

NH: Great chance for Everton to boost their confidence and keep their fans happy with decent home win. Palace can’t score and with Sigurdsson back to his best Roy’s boys better watch out. 3-1

TN: Roy’s boys are too reliant on Zaha, who is out of sorts at the moment. In contrast, Sigurdsson is in fine form for Everton, who will smell blood. 2-0

DH: Everton finally look to have hit their stride after back to back wins. Palace have looked disjointed at times and seem to lack a midfield playmaker. Nonetheless I’ll back Roy’s side to stop the rot with a point at Goodison. 1-1

ARSENAL v LEICESTER CITY

NH: At last, a Monday night game to look forward to. Arsenal are going great guns but Leicester are masters of the counter attack and if Vardy’s up for it, they have an outside chance. 3-2

TN: Arsenal are on a fine winning run, but they’ve not beaten much in the way of opponents. Saying that, Wenger’s Gunners would have struggled. Vardy likes playing the big boys, so it won’t be all plain sailing. 4-2

DH: Surely there’s goals here. Arsenal fans are slowly falling back in love with their club post-Wenger and I’ll back them to hit the goal trail once more against the erratic Foxes. 3-1.

THE SCORES SO FAR: Dan Heald 59, Nick Harrison 55, Tom Norris 43.
