DEESIDE U14s stormed to an emphatic 59-13 success over Greater Manchester Junior Netball League rivals Northwich Sapphires.

Dominant from the outset, the Flintshire club turned in a clinical performance with their shooters in great form and centre court players overrunning their Northwich counterparts.

In junior league action, Deeside Dominoes U14 scored goals aplenty to win their match against Mold Starlings 53-2, with Megan Davies’ great interceptions and tips earning her the player of the match honours.

Deeside DJs had a comfortable victory as they inflicted a 44-5 hammering on Wrexham’s North Dragon Phoenix.

Deeside’s front pair took full advantage of the constant build and feed into the circle from centre court, with Charlotte Sellings scoring more than 30 goals to warrant her Player of the match award.

A 24-4 reverse for Deeside Darts meant there was no clean sweep of wins for the Flintshire club as Rhosnesni Raiders took the win.

Defensive lapses from the Darts cost them dear, with Courtney Sullivan impressing most in the defeat.

Newly-formed U13 outfit Deeside Dixies suffered defeat in their first ever competitive game, losing 22-4 against Rhosnesni Raptors.

It was a similar outcome for Deeside Diamonds as they lost 22-5 to North Dragons Firestorm, with Diamonds attacker Emily Wilcock named star player.

A fine display from Lauren Olsen inspired Deeside Dragonflies U12s to a 28-8 success against Rhosnesni, while Laura Haden excelled in Deeside Dace’s 13-5 triumph over Chester Bandits.

Freya Thomas’ impressive showing for Deeside Dots U11s was in vain as her side were edged out in a narrow 2-0 reverse against Rhosnesni.
