CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS have been tipped to send out a message of intent with victory over Coleraine tomorrow night.

Andy Morrison's Nomads, who are top of the Welsh Premier League, tackle the Northern Ireland outfit at the Deeside Stadium in the Scottish Challenge Cup third round.

And Malcolm Allen, who commentates on the Welsh top-flight, is confident Nomads will be able to reach the quarter-finals before continuing their title challenge.

"If Andy can keep his best XI players for every game, they could win the league. This rarely happens, but I’m sure they will give TNS a run for their money this season," said Allen.

"They are by far the best team I’ve seen this season and will go into the Scottish Challenge Cup full of expectation.

"They will be hosting Coleraine of Northern Ireland, who are fifth in their respective league and coming off the back of a 4-1 drubbing at home versus Glenavon.

"Coleraine might be favourites for this one but I back Andy’s men to win and to send a message to the other teams that Connah’s Quay mean business this campaign."
